Geoffrey Cann

Geoffrey Cann is the Principal at MadCann Alberta, helping the energy industry accelerate its adoption of digital innovation. Previously, Mr. Cann served at Deloitte for 30 years in various positions including Consulting Partner, National Oil and Gas Director and LNG National Director Australia. Mr. Cann also serves on the Board of Directors for Adappcity, which identifies and develops blockchain solutions. Mr. Cann holds a BComm from McGill University and an MBA from The Ivey School of Business.

Dan Peet has been the president of Tundra Process Solutions Ltd. since it all began in 1999. He possesses a passion for people and strives to listen to and accommodate the needs of every individual customer. Having previously worked in sales and now being the president of Tundra, Dan has a diverse range of experience including, sales, human resources, business development and procurement. Before Tundra, Dan was in outside sales for Templar Controls and in 1996 was asked to relocate to Calgary to open a new office. Shortly after, he was presented with the opportunity to start his own company and with the desire to take on a challenging journey while already having the knowledge, products and customers at his disposal, it was an easy decision. Since day one, Dan’s vision and core philosophy was to hire and surround himself with great people who specialize in a wide range of fields to form a powerful and influential team. The goal isn’t to just be another solution provider; Tundra’s goal is to maintain the ongoing trust between employees and customers to sustain the success that they have worked so hard to achieve today. A graduate of the University of Alberta he appreciates all things that the province has to offer, including skiing, boa ting, fishing and motorsports with his 2 boys. Ensuring he makes time for these activities is core to his philosophy of living a balanced life.


Jay Billesberger

Jay Billesberger is the Vice President of Information Technology at NorthRiver Midstream, one of North America’s leading gas gathering and processing businesses. Mr. Billesberger has over 20 years experience of broad based management in systems design and development, implementation, operations and support. Key areas of success include cloud migration, digital transformation, business intelligence/analytics, industrial control integration (IT/OT Integration) and ERP cloud migration/modernization. Mr. Billesberger is responsible for development and execution of business strategy to build or implement systems to drive operational efficiencies while reporting to C-suite executives and the board of $15B+ public company. Mr. Billesberger holds a B.Sc. in Computer Information Systems from DeVry Institute of Technology.


Darin Watson

Darin Watson is the Vice President of Engineering, Construction and Operations at Berkshire Hathaway Energy, delivering affordable, safe and reliable service each day to more than 11.6 million electric and gas customers and end-users around the world. In this role Mr. Watson has supported negotiations that resulted in a JV partnership that has led to acquiring multi-millions in wind energy projects with 1.5GW potential, innovated several key approaches to the development of wind energy project and resolved multiple issues at an acquired 20MW distributed generation project, now at 100% output. Previously, Mr. Watson was Vice President of Major Projects for AltaLink where he oversaw the completion of two critical transmission infrastructure (CTI) projects in Alberta totaling $2.4B in new assets. Mr. Watson sits on the board of directors for Construction Owners Association of Alberta and Maskwa Environmental Consulting Ltd. Mr. Watson holds a B.E in Agricultural Engineering from the University of Saskatchewan.

Mark Lindeman 

Mark Lindeman is a Partner in EY’s Performance Improvement Advisory Services. Mr. Lindeman specializes in helping clients transform their business, driving operational efficiency and innovation through the use of technology. Mr. Lindeman has over 21 years of experience that includes process optimization; strategic planning; program design and governance; portfolio and program management; enterprise resource planning implementations; decision support / business intelligence; enterprise architecture; IT strategy; and It operations. He has over 18 years of experience with the SAP product set, application architecture, implementation strategies/methodologies, and operating models. Mr. Lindeman has worked for clients across multiple industries including oil and gas, utilities, manufacturing, transportation, financial services (banking and insurance), and telecommunications. 


Graeme Bate

Graeme Bate is the Vice President of Corporate Development at Allied Petroleum Exploration. Mr. Bate is an experienced petroleum executive, with 30 years of varied industry experience around the world. For many years, he has been one of the industry’s leading petroleum economists, advising governments across Africa, the Middle East and Asia as well companies investing in opportunities in these regions. He has led the design and negotiation of Production Sharing Contracts and/or Service Contracts in many countries, in particular in Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Mexico, Pakistan and Gabon. He is a petrophysicist and reservoir engineer by training and worked in several African and European countries as a field engineer and manager with Schlumberger. For many years he was a Partner and the leader of the Canadian oil and gas industry consulting business of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP. Mr. Bate holds a M.Sc. in Engineering Physics from Queen’s University and a Diploma in International Relations from the London School of Economics.


Mark Marcus

Mark Marcus is Vice President in the Chief Customer Office at SAP where he helps customers achieve success which will result in a positive reference. Mr. Marcus has served in various senior positions at SAP including National Vice President of Solutions Engineering. Prior to joining SAP, Mr. Marcus was Vice President of Technology Business Unit at Oracle, where he developed Oracle’s North American go-to-market middleware strategy. Mr. Marcus holds a BBA from the University of Texas at Austin.



Dave Lepa is an experienced sales executive with an impressive 35-year sales and sales management career working with large global enterprise accounts across North America.  Dave is known for successfully selling high value strategic enterprise technology solutions to senior executives across several industries including, oil and gas, chemicals, mining, transportation and financial services. He has held roles of responsibility over his career including, sales engineer, sales executive and sales vice president. Dave is currently responsible for Western Canada at Anaplan Inc,  which is a highly successful, high growth, recent publicly traded, cloud connected-planning software company based in San Francisco.   Dave has spent the last 20 years with Oracle and SAP in sales executive roles selling ERP and enterprise planning systems. Dave is a graduate from McMaster University with a B.Comm specializing in Computer Science, Finance and Economics.

Mr. Maric leads a team of legal professionals that deal with the best brands and brightest executives & lawyers in the world. Previously Deny served as VP Legal and Corporate Affairs at Blast Radius. Mr. Maric specializes in drafting and negotiating contracts relating to: software development, intellectual property, licensing, employment, privacy, consulting and leasing. Mr. Maric also has extensive experience in leading legal teams throughout negotiations and collaborating with senior counsel, executives and management to implement effective solutions to complex matters. Deny holds a B.A and LLB, Law. 


Luke Caplette

Luke Caplette is the Chief Financial Officer of Cordy Oilfield Services, an oilfield and construction services corporation. Previously, Mr. Caplette worked assurance at Ernst & Young. Mr. Caplette holds a BBA in Accounting from Mount Royal University and is a Chartered Accountant with 8 years of accounting and finance experience with private and publicly listed companies.
