Darin Watson is the Vice President of Engineering, Construction and Operations at Berkshire Hathaway Energy, delivering affordable, safe and reliable service each day to more than 11.6 million electric and gas customers and end-users around the world. In this role Mr. Watson has supported negotiations that resulted in the acquisition of wind energy projects with 1.5GW potential, innovated several key approaches to the development of wind energy projects and resolved multiple issues at an acquired 20MW distributed generation project which now operates at 100% output. Previously, Mr. Watson was Vice President of Major Projects for AltaLink where he oversaw the completion of two critical transmission infrastructure projects in Alberta totaling $2.4B in new assets. Mr. Watson sits on the board of directors for the Construction Owners Association of Alberta and Maskwa Environmental Consulting Ltd. He holds a BE in Agricultural Engineering from the University of Saskatchewan.
