Perry Berkenpas is the Managing Director of THINKbeyond and works with a range of clients and partners to help leaders improve strategies and business performance. Mr. Berkenpas has 40+ years of experience in the oil and gas industry in operations, engineering, and management. During his tenure at ConocoPhillips, Mr. Berkenpas held a range of operational, technical, asset management, project and executive positions in the Canadian upstream business. He globally led ConocoPhillips’ operations excellence, continuous improvement, production/facility/LNG engineering, asset integrity, flow assurance, production technology talent management. Mr. Berkenpas holds a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (Honors) from the British Columbia Institute of Technology.
Chris Read is the Regional Director of Oil & Gas, Western North America, with Hatch Upside. Before this, Mr. Read was a Principal and President of Upside Engineering, a 30-year-old multi-disciplinary private engineering firm located in Calgary and focused on the oil and gas industry. Mr. Read is an experienced executive with over 25 years of experience in the areas of leadership, strategic planning, business development, and operations management. His professional career has included time in the Canadian Armed Forces, defence contracting and the oil and gas engineering industries. Mr. Read serves on the board of directors for the Calgary Military Family Resources Centre. He holds an MBA from the University of Calgary.
