Darin Watson is President, Alta Solutions and provides strategic advice for those undertaking multi-billion dollar, complex and contentious projects. Prior to Alta Solutions, Mr. Watson was Vice President of Engineering, Construction and Operations at Berkshire Hathaway Energy. In this role, Mr. Watson supported negotiations that resulted in the acquisition of wind energy projects with 1.5GW potential. He also innovated several key approaches to the development of wind energy projects, and resolved multiple issues at an acquired 20MW distributed generation project which now operates at 100% output. Mr. Watson also served as Vice President of Major Projects at AltaLink. While in that role, he oversaw the completion of two critical transmission infrastructure projects in Alberta totaling $2.4B in new assets. Mr. Watson sits on the board of directors for Construction Owners Association of Alberta and Maskwa Environmental Consulting Ltd.
