Privacy Policy for Field Safe Solutions

At Field Safe Solutions, accessible from https://www.fieldsafesolutions.com, one of our main priorities is the privacy of our visitors. This Privacy Policy document contains types of information that is collected and recorded by Field Safe Solutions and how we use it.

This Privacy Policy applies only to our online activities and is valid for visitors to our website and users of our mobile app with regards to the information that they shared and/or collect in Field Safe Solutions. This policy is not applicable to any information collected offline.

It is Field Safe Solutions’ policy that all its communications with third parties comply with the requirements of Canada’s privacy legislation, the Personal Information Protecting and Electronics Documents Act (“PIPEDA”), the Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation, passed in 2010 and effective July 1st, 2014 (“CASL”) and our own commitment to protecting our clients’ privacy.

Log Files

Field Safe Solutions follows a standard procedure of using log files. These files log visitors when they visit websites. All hosting companies do this and a part of hosting services’ analytics. The information collected by log files include internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date and time stamp, referring/exit pages, and possibly the number of clicks. These are not linked to any information that is personally identifiable. The purpose of the information is for analyzing trends, administering the site, tracking users’ movement on the website, and gathering demographic information.

Like any other website, Field Safe Solutions uses ‘cookies’. These cookies are used to store information including visitors’ preferences, and the pages on the website that the visitor accessed or visited. The information is used to optimize the users’ experience by customizing our web page content based on visitors’ browser type and/or other information.

Third-party ad servers or ad networks uses technologies like cookies, JavaScript, or Web Beacons that are used in their respective advertisements and links that appear on Field Safe Solutions, which are sent directly to users’ browser. They automatically receive your IP address when this occurs. These technologies are used to measure the effectiveness of their advertising campaigns and/or to personalize the advertising content that you see on websites that you visit.

Note that Field Safe Solutions has no access to or control over these cookies that are used by third-party advertisers.

 

Third Party Privacy Policies

Field Safe Solutions’ Privacy Policy does not apply to other advertisers or websites. Thus, we are advising you to consult the respective Privacy Policies of these third-party ad servers for more detailed information. Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL)

Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation protects consumers and businesses from the misuse of digital technology, including spam and other electronic threats. Field Safe Solutions values your privacy, and your preferences for electronic communications from us. Accordingly, we are committed to compliance with the Canadian Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).

To be in accordance with CASL, we agree to the following: 

  • Not use false or misleading subjects or email addresses
  • Identify the message as an advertisement in some reasonable way
  • Include the physical address of our business or site headquarters
  • Honor opt-out/unsubscribe requests quickly
  • Allow users to unsubscribe by using the link at the bottom of each email

PIPEDA (Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act)

In June 2015, the Digital Privacy Act (DPA) received Royal Assent and officially became law in Canada. Field Safe Solutions will comply with PIPEDA and any other privacy and data protection laws. All Field Safe Solution employees with access to personal information must adhere to this Field Safe Solutions Privacy Policy and the ten principles of privacy listed below.

  1. Accountability
    Field Safe Solutions is responsible for the personal information under its control and will designate one or more persons to ensure organizational accountability for compliance with the ten principles of privacy. All Field Safe Solutions employees are accountable for the protection of customers’ personal information.

  2. Identifying purposes
    Field Safe Solutions will identify the purposes for which personal information is collected at or before the time the information is collected.

  3. Consent
    An individual’s knowledge and consent is required for the collection, use or disclosure of his or her personal information, unless otherwise permitted by law. Consent can be express or implied and may be obtained verbally, in writing or through electronic means. Alternatively, consent may be implied through the actions of customers or continued use of the product or service.

    Personal information collected will be limited to that which is necessary for the purposes identified by Field Safe Solutions.

    Field Safe Solutions will not use or disclose person information for purposes other than those for which the information was collected, except with the customer’s consent or as required by law. Personal information will be retained by Field Safe Solutions only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected.

    Field Safe Solutions will keep personal information as accurate, complete and current as necessary for the purposes for which it is to be used. An individual may have his or her information amended as appropriate were it is found to be inaccurate or incomplete.

    Individuals may challenge Field Safe Solutions’ compliance with this Privacy Policy. CCPA Privacy Rights (Do Not Sell My Personal Information)

Under the CCPA, among other rights, California consumers have the right to:

Request that a business that collects a consumer’s personal data disclose the categories and specific pieces of personal data that a business has collected about consumers.

Request that a business delete any personal data about the consumer that a business has collected.

Request that a business that sells a consumer’s personal data, not sell the consumer’s personal data.

Children’s Information

Another part of our priority is adding protection for children while using the internet. We encourage parents and guardians to observe, participate in, and/or monitor and guide their online activity.

Field Safe Solutions does not knowingly collect any Personal Identifiable Information from children under the age of 13. If you think that your child provided this kind of information on our website, we strongly encourage you to contact us immediately and we will do our best efforts to promptly remove such information from our records.

  • Employer: Means the company that you are employed for and have engaged the Company for the use of our services.  The use of the Company app may be a stipulation of employment with your employer.  All concerns of use of the Company app should be directed to the Employer.
  • Device: Means any device that can access the Service such as a computer, a cellphone or a digital tablet.
  • Personal Data: Is any information that relates to an identified or identifiable individual.
  • Service: Refers to the Application.
  • Service Provider: Means any natural or legal person who processes the data on behalf of the Company. It refers to third-party companies or individuals employed by the Company to facilitate the Service, to provide the Service on behalf of the Company, to perform services related to the Service or to assist the Company in analyzing how the Service is used.
  • Usage Data: Refers to data collected automatically, either generated by the use of the Service or from the Service infrastructure itself (for example, the duration of a page visit).
  • You: Means the individual accessing or using the Service, or the company, or other legal entity on behalf of which such individual is accessing or using the Service, as applicable.

While using Our Application, in order to provide features of Our Application, We may collect, with Your prior permission:

We use this information to provide features of Our Service, to improve and customize Our Service. The information may be uploaded to the Company’s servers and/or a Service Provider’s server or it may be simply stored on Your device.

You can enable or disable access to this information at any time, through Your Device settings. This may limit the app usage and should be discussed with the Employer.

 

Use of Your Personal Data

The Company may use Personal Data for the following purposes:

  • To provide and Maintain our Service, including to monitor the usage of our Service.
  • To Manage Your Account: To manage Your registration as a user of the Service. The Personal Data You provide can give You access to different functionalities of the Service that are available to You as a registered user.
  • For the Performance of a Contract: The development, compliance and undertaking of the purchase contract for the products, items or services You have purchased or of any other contract with Us through the Service.
  • To Contact You: To contact You by email, telephone calls, SMS, or other equivalent forms of electronic communication, such as a mobile application’s push notifications regarding updates or informative communications related to the functionalities, products or contracted services, including the security updates, when necessary or reasonable for their implementation.
